In some cases, we may recommend a thinning regime, allowing the carefully selected remaining trees more room to grow. This thinning process may target the removal of less desirable species, encouraging the dominance of native trees, this is undertaken to provide a better wildlife habitat and a more natural woodland diversity. In other cases, we may take into account the needs of the owner requiring a regular crop from the woodland, perhaps by coppicing or regular thinning, which is often an excellent way to manage woodland.
